I am really trying to be organized and on top of things this school year--to the extreme. I've got a lot done, but I've been struggling with something to give my students at Back to School Night. We will be having it before school starts, so I wanted something fun to give them. I am going to be having a diabetic in my class this year---so I've got to back off the treats. Candy is so easy to come up with cute sayings--and kids love candy. I ordered jumbo sticky hands from Amazon--pretty cheap--and they are big. The hand measures about 3 1/2 inches long.
Then the saying....pretty dorky!!! I really wanted to say "You're so lucky you got stuck with me for your teacher this year!" But--I wasn't sure I could get away with it--but I thought it was good!
Here is the link to my tags I made to attach to them.

Family Auction
Well--our family reunion is coming up this weekend. We have an auction to raise money--it is sooo hard to come up with ideas to take. But, this is what we're taking this year...thank goodness for Pinterest inspiration.
1) slat board sign--I put this off until yesterday--now I don't know why. It was SOO easy. I used my Silhouette to cut a "stencil" out to use.
2) Food and Games--And very CUTE tin!!!
3) Some doll clothes that will fit 18 inch dolls. My favorite is the red ruffle shirt and levi skirt.
4) I don't love this near as much as I thought I would. It's a ruffle bag.
6) This was a Pinterest find--zipper pouch. It's made completely of zippers...unzip any of them to get access to the bag. The picture below is the back of it.
7) Levi Quilt---Chevron style.
8. Lego tray--create masterpieces on this tray--then you can move it around without destroying your creations.
Hopefully someone will be excited about these items--it's been so hard to come up with something to take---but at least we're ready--and even with a few days to spare?

Part 2 Scrapbook room Makeover
So I still have several things to work on in this room but I wanted to post the rest of what I have done of my room. Next to the door idea I am totally loving how my chairs turned out. I wanted to do the chairs in different colors, I picked yellow, green and blue, all of which match the material that my mom used to cover the seats on these chairs. I was afraid that it was going to take me a long time to find the chairs that I liked but a couple of weeks ago we went to Twin and found a new store that restoresThe guy there let us walk around and we found a couple that he hadn't done anything with and got them for $5.00 each. I was pretty excited that we found them that fast and for that price.
furniture.
This is the desk finished with the chairs, it turned out really nice.
I then had my mom make me a couple of shelves, this did cause a great debate at our house because I don't like to dust and Steve did not want open shelving. I really wanted these and when he hung them up he said it looked pretty good.
I still have to change out the pictures and frames to match the room but you get the idea. I am going to make some prints and then spray paint a few more frames. I really like how this turned out.
