Snow

What better thing to do today than build a Snowman. The girls got out of school early and went straight outside to play in the snow. I told them to build a snowman but they couldn't figure out how to get the snow to roll. I went out side and helped them and we made a pretty cute snowman. The hat and accessories my mom made and gave to us for Christmas a few years ago and this is the first time that we have had enough snow to actually use them. the girls had a blast. When I was sitting in the hospital in December I saw a pin on Pinterest about making ice cream from snow. I pinned it and didn't really think that I would actually make it but today was the day. I put a bowl outside in the morning and collected snow in it all day. Tonight we made the ice cream and it was really easy.
I mixed a 1/2 cup of milk, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1/4 tsp of vanilla together.
Then I added the snow and food coloring. I used about 3 cups of snow and mixed it in making sure to not mix it to much or it was runny, this did happen so I added more snow.
It worked out great and actually tasted pretty good. Megan liked it a little more than Ashlynn but we all ate it.
Hopefully there is more snow tomorrow.

Vintage Jars

I needed to do a little decorating for a luncheon this week. I had NO time available to come up with something. As I tried to rack my brain of something simple, easy, and cute--I had a hard time. So, about Tuesday--I remember these jars which I've seen floating around on Pinterest. I think they're really cute! So, I grabbed some Mason jars, pink and white paint. Gave the jars a couple coats of paint, sanded a little, and threw some daisies inside. I Love how they turned out. So simple, but very cute.

Valentine-You Make My Heart Spin

I'm always looking for Valentines that don't involve pixie sticks or suckers!! I bought these really cute tops at the beginning of the school year from the party store. They are the Wood Retro Tops from Oriental Trading. They are really quite cute, about 4 in in diameter and fun to spin. I was going to use them as a back to school thing, but didn't. So--they've been sitting in a draw for a couple months and I decided they would make a cute Valentine--that doesn't include sugar!

So---Valentine--You make my HEART Spin.

You can download my printable if you'd like to use them. Happy Valentine's Day
