Halloween Party

I decided that I would have a Halloween Party for Megan and few of her friends. I wanted it to be nice but I didn't want to spend a ton of money and didn't really want it to be all about candy. This is what we came up with. Ashley made these cups for the party favors. She used outdoor vinyl and her Silhouette machine, cut out the main picture and then added detail with a the vinyl color, they were really cute. Inside she made Halloween chap stick (changed the cover), a hair bow, and also a necklace on a washer, this was the favorite thing. The cup was a big hit and it wasn't full of candy.

Because it was right after school I knew that I needed to feed them so I did a small little buffet with mummy dogs, potato bugs, mummified oreos, and even poison apples. I actually took the time and made the apples and they turned out really good.

The other big thing they did was cover buckets with duct tape. They liked this they had two choices a mummy or just a fun little bucket, only one girl picked the mummy and it was the cutest.

The party was a hit and all the details were worth it.

More pictures

I took these picture about a month ago and just barely looked at them. I think they turned out pretty cute considering that neither of these boys are really very fond of me. Matthew was crying before he even got close to me. I guess treats are really important to getting okay pictures

Germs....are SCARY

I saw this cute idea on eighteen25. I thought it was a great idea because 1--they saying is cute and made me chuckle and 2--it is actually a useful item. I got the soap from Bath & Body Works at 1/2 off---so it only cost me $2.75 a piece. I'm going to use them for visiting teaching, teacher gifts, and anything else I need a small little gift for this Halloween.

Halloween Decorations

I have actually had these decorations up for a week. I'm really liking the wtiches' broom on the window--it's just fun and different. And I really love these two little shelves.

6 months later

Finally after almost six months my front room is finished. This last weekend I hung up the canvas's that have been sitting on my piano for a long time.

I really like how this turned out. I would like to redo the picture of Megan but for now it will work. I got all of my canvas when the Canvas people were offering a free 8x10 or a $50.00 credit towards a different size. The I love Us sign was off of Eighteen 25, you could download it and get it printed and I think it adds a lot to the wall.

Now if I could finish all the other rooms in my house that are half finished.
